eazyBI Learning Center: Accessible for Everyone
Rome was not built in a day, and becoming a professional data analyst takes years. However, a report is not a Colosseum, and a project progress chart is not rocket science.
We believe in data democracy, which means that anyone should be able to access the data they need to understand their daily work, without relying on a busy IT team or a consultant. At the same time, every tool, including eazyBI, has its own learning curve.
This is why the eazyBI Learning Center exists — and why it was built by our most experienced eazyBI support consultants and developers. We are proud of it. It is a safe space for any user to learn everything: from the very first steps in report creation to building complex charts and calculations.
"This is by far the best on-demand training that I have used. I love the guided examples with links to get more information."
— From customer feedback
So, what can you expect from the Learning Center, and how can you use it better?
Hands-On Approach
Throughout each lesson, you build. There are no dry theoretical concepts. Everything introduced is put into action immediately. You are guided step by step as you do the work yourself, and when you get it right, you can move on to the next step. And no punishment for wrong answers.
There is a space to think it through on your own and, at the same time, no shame to ask for the right answer. Hints on what to do, together with highlighted relevant elements, are always one click away.
"Very intuitive user interface. Good progression. Useful hints."
— From customer feedback
Use-Case Based Lessons
At the end of each lesson, you get a specific report or calculation that solves a real situation. This can be a performance or version report, a calculation that retrieves all backlog items, or a list of all higher-priority bugs.
In practice, it usually matters more to get a specific question answered than to study all eazyBI functions academically, and that is completely fine. By using eazyBI across different use cases, you gradually understand how it works and can apply that knowledge in other situations later. And if you want to explore something in more depth, there are always links to additional resources.
"This has been a valuable learning experience with eazyBI. I am confident that my skills will continue to improve."

Do It at Your Own Pace
The Learning Center is available 24/7, with no additional charge and no time limit on completing a course or lesson. Choose your own lesson order and pace. While we recommend following the lesson sequence, you can do as you like.
You can do one lesson a day or complete a whole course before lunchtime. Or find a specific lesson and use it when you want to create a specific report. The choice is yours.
Wide Topic Coverage
Currently, there are 6 courses and 39 lessons in total. On average, it takes 15–20 minutes for one lesson or around 12 hours to complete all (based on usage statistics). A new course is already in the works, and we have plans for more.
From core concepts to report building, different chart types, and MDX calculations — we have ambitions to cover all eazyBI functionality.
Created for Any Knowledge Level
Each course starts with an introductory lesson that sets up the playground and explains the UI or main concepts. During the course, knowledge is built gradually, with new things introduced step by step. Even if you know no coding at all, you will get through MDX courses (yes, we tested it with our marketing and administrative colleagues).
"The current learning environment is good — MDX calculated measures can be dealt with in more examples. It was fun learning about eazyBI."
— From customer feedback
You do not have to be a data analyst or developer; common sense and the willingness to build eazyBI reports yourself are all you need to start these lessons. Also, many long-term users say they have learned valuable tips and tricks, or finally had an AHA moment about why something works the way it does.
Created by Humans for Other Humans
All the lessons are based on our long experience in customer support. None of the authors had MDX experience when they started, and only some had a programming background. We learned the tool and the MDX language step by step, with help from books and colleagues.
Over the years, the same concepts were explained to our customers dozens of times. This made it clear which ideas are more complex to grasp, where people tend to struggle, and the most common errors. The Learning Center was built with this in mind.
It Is Your Safe Space
The Learning Center is personal for each user. Nobody sees your mistakes, how many times a formula was tried, or when a hint was needed. This is your learning process, and no one is looking over your shoulder.
Everything you build and save stays in your account. You can come back later and find everything exactly as you left it.
Your Private Sandbox
Moreover, a learning account can be used not only for dedicated learning courses, but also to experiment with and test your own calculations, or to report ideas before moving them to a production site.
The Learning Center contains 1000 demo work items with logged hours, story points, various statuses, and historical entries.
No Additional Permission Needed
You can access your learning space whenever you want. You do not need your Jira site admin or project manager to set it up for you. Just go to the Learning Center, follow the UI guidance, and create an account. The account is created instantly with one click and already includes demo data.
