Until the End of Internet: Our Data Center Commitment
Atlassian's Data Center EOL doesn't mean the end of our support – here's what you can expect from eazyBI through 2029 and beyond
Data Center End-Of-Life by 2029
You've probably heard by now: Atlassian recently announced the timeline for Data Center end-of-life (EOL). By March 2029, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo Data Center (DC) environments will reach full EOL and transition to read-only mode. The milestones are clear: no new DC apps after December 2025, no new customer licenses after March 2026, and no expansions for existing customers after March 2028.
Here's our answer: eazyBI is committed to Data Center – until the end of Internet.
The term "Until the end of the Internet" is a concept from 37signals that we've adapted. It means we'll continue releasing features, updates, bug fixes, and full support for Data Center in full parity with our Cloud platform until our last DC customer. When you're ready to migrate whether that's to Atlassian Cloud or another platform entirely we'll support that journey with tools and incentives. But until then, you can count on us.
Our Philosophy: Partnership Over Transactions
Over the past decade, we've navigated plenty of industry shifts together. This is just one more – and we're not going anywhere.
When I started eazyBI from my home office more than a decade ago, it was because I saw a gap. Jira users needed better reporting, and existing tools often oversimplified or overcomplicated the problem (or sometimes both). Today, we serve thousands of customers across 238 countries, but the principle hasn't changed: we build what our customers need, and we stick with them through transitions.
Our Promise: Feature Parity, Active Development, Zero Abandonment
Let's make it clear what "until the end of Internet" means in practice.
Every feature we release for Cloud will be available for Data Center. This isn't maintenance mode or legacy support – this is active, ongoing development with the same engineering resources, the same product roadmap, and the same commitment to innovation. You'll continue to receive bug fixes, security updates, functional enhancements, and support.
Your reporting infrastructure remains stable and reliable – your reports, charts, dashboards, custom calculations, and portfolio analytics you've built aren't at risk. The workflows your teams depend on won't break. The reports your executives rely on will keep running.
Your governance processes can continue uninterrupted. Whether it's OKR dashboards connecting delivery metrics across divisions, portfolio reports for quarterly board reviews, or compliance tracking for audits – these continue to operate smoothly.
We've served Data Center customers for a decade and will continue to do so. That's not changing.
The Cloud Path: Migration on Your Timeline
Let's talk about migration – because eventually, it may make sense for your organization.
Keep in mind that migration timing is yours to control – but we can't extend Atlassian's March 2029 read-only date. What we can do is ensure eazyBI continues working reliably until then and provide full support for your transition whenever you choose to start it.
When you decide the time is right, we've built the bridge. Our migration tools are designed for seamless transitions. We offer dual licensing so you can run both environments during your transition period. We provide unspent Data Center license credits toward Cloud subscriptions. We maintain the same product on both platforms – so your teams aren't learning something different, they're moving to a familiar environment with the same capabilities.
And if you're thinking about moving beyond Atlassian but want to keep using eazyBI – let us know! We already have integrations with monday.com and YouTrack, and we might be working on yours next. Your migration plans directly inform our development priorities, and we want to continue being your reporting solution wherever your infrastructure evolves.
If you do migrate to Cloud, we understand that moving from the security of on-premises solutions might feel uncertain. We'll ensure eazyBI remains Atlassian's Cloud Fortified, SOC2 Type 2 certified, with data residency options in both the EU and US. Our Cloud infrastructure was built with the same security-first thinking you'd expect from Data Center.
Advanced Reporting: From Simple to Complex
While we're talking about what doesn't change, let's also address what eazyBI offers that makes this commitment meaningful.
For basic reporting needs, we've made it simple. From pre-built Jira-specific report and dashboard templates, to built-in AI report building assistants – users can create cross-project or multi-year reports in minutes. Integrations with third-party apps work out of the box.
For enterprise complexity, we scale with you. Custom calculations for unique business logic, granular import controls for data governance, user access management for security, and support for thousands of users across global organizations.
This range – from simple to advanced – is why organizations choose eazyBI. You get a single tool that serves both: teams building quick status reports and CFO needing cross-divisional portfolio analytics tied to financial outcomes. That flexibility you get in Data Center won't change on Cloud.
We're Here for the Long Term
You may have invested significant time, training, and planning into your eazyBI implementation. We're committed to supporting that investment for as long as you need Data Center, and we're ready to support your migration journey whenever you choose to begin it.
If you have questions about what this means for your specific environment, your compliance requirements, or your migration timeline, reach out. We're here for the conversation.
Until the end of Internet.
